Job Description : Docker DevOps Engineer - Contract Apex Systems, the 2nd largest IT staffing firm in the nation, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a 6-9 month contract position in Salt Lake City. The DevOps Systems Engineer will have expert experience in Docker Containers and container management generally, especially as it pertains to development, build, versioning, configuration, and deployment activities. The candidate will work on establishing a modern enterprise DevOps architecture being designed and deployed. As part of this role she/he must lead the container best practices in design, development, and implementation. They will also be responsible for defining the container CI/CD strategy, implementing the POCs and consulting with the infrastructure engineers on the project. Along with the responsibilities in Docker, she/he must have hands on, in-depth experience in Linux Operating Systems and CI/CD tools and practices for containers. Technical Requirements : At Least 3 Years of experience in DevOps and expert knowledge of: Docker containerization and associated technologies DevOps Best Practices Distributed Applications Deployment Architecture Orchestrating Blue/Green, A/B, Canary, Rolling, and 24/7-Zero down time style deployments. Kubernetes Skills: 3-7+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering Strong experience with Docker Images/Containers, Implementing Docker Containers, Container Clustering Experience with Provisioning, Provisioning VMs - Virtual Machines Experience managing VMware, VMs Experience with Nexus/Artifactory Experience / strong knowledge with Network Topologies, Network Research, Azure DevOps (or TFS) or similar SDLC platforms XebiaLabs XL Deploy and XL Release or similar deployment technologies (Urban Code Deploy, Octopus Deploy, Elec Cloud) Ansible or other Automation Configuration Management System tools Scripting/Programming using languages such as BASH, Perl, Python, AWK, SED, PHP, Shell Linux Systems Administration – Redhat CI/CD with containers including artifact management and promotion.
