Job Description : Client is transforming Network Engineering to DevOps. Today a lot of the work is repetitive in nature. From day one, the DevOps Engineer with provide 2 things in parallel: Automate deployments that are repetitive in nature leveraging Python and REST APIs. i.e deploying custom firewall solutions across an enterprise client in growth mode. Automate network remediation steps for reoccurring issues. Given an alert, Network Architect and other SMEs would provide the necessary steps to remediate the issue. This DevOps Engineer (Python) would work with the team to create a continuous delivery framework to automate the remediation steps. Then we will look to enhance this capability by creating an algorithm that would categorize and prioritize aggregated alerts. The goal is to automate the process and get ahead of problems, in other words, identify issues before they become incidents. Long term, the goal is to stand-up a framework that will be used across their network offerings. Ideal candidate will serve as a senior developer experienced in automation using Python and REST APIs. Industry specific experience is not necessary.
