This role will embed within a Format Solutions commercial software development team to establish frameworks and tools, and build test automation that is agreed upon by the team. The desired candidate will be a self-starter with expertise in the area and leadership skills to champion automated test practices and train the rest of the team to own test automation going forward. Software Test Automation • Continue to improve/shape our testing methodology with an eye toward performance and scalability as you fine tune our automation test strategy, framework and test infrastructure. • Write high quality automated tests that meet defined testing requirements • Develop automated tests according to automation standards • Communicate risks/benefits of development approach when necessary • Align with technical architecture • Analyze and provide feedback on existing code in order to improve the automation Solution • Define and track test automation coverage and metrics Technical Leadership • Provide ownership and subject matter expertise • Lead process improvement initiatives within team • Mentor others on the team on automation techniques and best practices, and ensure they are being followed, to facilitate team transition to a developer owned test automation model • Consider the application, the testing, as well as the needs of the development teams as you take ownership in understanding our overall test environment, continuously engaging in discussions on how to do things better. • Provide technical expertise and collaborate among a team of high-performing professionals to make testing an integral part of the software development process using software design patterns and industry best practices Required Qualifications • Degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent experience • 5+ Years Software Automation experience • Experience with test automation tools • Experience or exposure to continuous integration, DevOps processes and tools • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to influence technical solutions • Demonstrated ability to work across team to provide high quality software • Agile methodology experience. Some team members are local and some are located in Minsk.
