Job Description : It is looking for a Fullstack Engineer, to help manage a growing portfolio of software projects and cloud infrastructure. The focus of the role will be to aid in the maintenance and optimization of existing software and servers using the SRE methodology; however, a significant amount time will be spent working on ETL and application development efforts. Role: Fullstack Engineer Location: Richmond, VA (Must sit onsite, open to relocation candidates) Length: 6 month contract with high potential to extend or convert to a permanent employee after 6 months. Essential Functions: · Maintain and optimize the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of existing software infrastructure (e.g. Kubernetes Cluster, Apache Airflow, Redshift, Tableau, SFTP Servers, AWS Data Pipeline, Django Applications, etc.) · Establish best practices for software site reliability · Manage system security for various applications across the organization · Develop best practices for monitoring and managing software failure · Encourage and develop solutions for the automation of repetitive tasks across the company · Aid in software development efforts outside a traditional site reliability role including ETL and application development · Assist in the design, development, and management of AWS Cloud Infrastructure, including network architecture, user access and roles. · Assist in the design, development, management, and optimization of cloud-based applications, and databases · Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services—from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement. · Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews. · Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health. Working inside a Python stack, work with Data Engineering to design and implement end to end ETL processes for data sources Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, or Statistics), or equivalent practical experience, masters degree or higher a plus Experience in creating an entire product Experience in mainly back-end development Strong Python development experience utilizing Panda 2+ years of experience in a DevOps, Software Engineering, or Data Engineering role Strong working knowledge of SQL Knowledge and some professional experience with AWS cloud environments Knowledge and some professional experience working with Kubernetes Strong working knowledge of Linux (or Unix) Systems, Bash Scripting, Network Protocols, and Distributed and Parallel Systems Ability to communicate complicated technical requirements/designs to audiences of various backgrounds and knowledge   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
