Job Description Engineer: DevOps, Unit Testing, GitHub, SOAP UI Python Jenkins C++

Description:
Sr. DevOps Engineer

Philadelphia, PA

For this role within the team, the following set of specific responsibilities will be key for the DevOps candidate, in addition to the Job Description:



· Professional experience creating large-scale applications serving a large customer base; applied experience with a Salesforce based solution a plus

· Applied work experience with one or more programming/scripting languages (bash, PowerShell, C#, Java, Python, or C++)

· Deep understanding of automated unit testing frameworks and integration tools such as SOAP UI

· Applied understanding of load and performance test best practices a plus

· Experience working in various cloud environments (AWS, Cloud Foundry, Elastic Cloud)

· Applied knowledge of logging/monitoring frameworks and visualization development via tools such as Kibana, Splunk, etc...

· Experience with RDMS and generally database querying concepts (i.e SQL)

· Extensive hands-on experience with source control systems, working in a CI/CD environment (GitHub, Gerrit, Jenkins, AntHillPro)



The DevOps candidate will be responsible for contributing to the following:



· Producing technical designs and documentation at varying levels of granularity.

· Performing code reviews and providing technical guidance to the team

· Observing operational bottlenecks in the workflow and applying engineering practices to eliminate or reduce them.

· Collaborating with peer and stakeholder teams to provide outstanding customer support.

· Providing guidance and accepting accountability for the performance and reliability of the platform and related integrated services for P2; ensures that failures are rectified in a timely manner.

· Performing analysis and optimization of production systems.

· Planning and designing scalable solutions.

· Driving issues to closure: engaging all appropriate resources, leading technical bridges and providing troubleshooting direction. Functioning with great autonomy and independently providing guidance and recommended solutions to complex technical issues within and outside of the team.
