The DevOps Platform Engineer will take direction from an Architect in some project scenarios and in others be responsible for completing a scope of work independently. What Youll Do: · Assess the needs of a customer and leverage DevOps methodologies to implement a wide range of DevOps solutions which ultimately enable customers to deliver high quality software faster. · Work collaboratively Client Personnel to design, document, and implement the appropriate DevOps Solutions that will support business objectives and developer communities such as: Configuration Management, Continuous Integration/Deployment, Cloud, IaaS, PaaS, and Self-Service deployment automation platforms. · Evangelize and support communications around the architecture and technology stack with the Client and support efforts to facilitate buy-in and alignment prior to implementation. · Implement a solution that realizes the architectural vision and design. · Support efforts to enable the DevOps transformation for customers. This may include ownership of documentation and/or working with Client personnel to complete definition, documentation and roll-out to the Client. Qualifications & Interests: · Experience implementing Container technologies including: o Docker o Docker Swarm o Docker EE o Kubernetes · Experience with deploying automated infrastructure using Terraform Experience using Public Cloud: Bonus points for hands-on Google Cloud Production experience in an enterprise setting · Previous experience being in an SRE role and/or Development role · Experience with scripting languages such as Python · Experience with Git souce code management · Familiarity with IP networking concepts such as VLANs, VIPs, DNS, load balancers, firewalling · Experience with on-premises infrastructure as well as public and hybrid cloud methodologies. · Must have excellent interpersonal skills, a high degree of professionalism and the ability to design technology solutions for commercial and large enterprise companies. · Excellent presentation, communication, and writing skills required. · Ability to work with both Client and Internal teams using a collaborative demeanor.
