We have a 24-month project with our client in Albany, NY that requires a MS SQL Developer, Expert Will be responsible for designing and maintaining MS SQL databases, reviewing database performance and optimizing existing processes. Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Participates in building complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views and reports. Ongoing collaboration with ColdFusion developers to design and draft modern and effective database architectures. Analyze functional requirements to perform ad-hoc Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes involving data analysis, data manipulation and setting up SSIS packages. Review performance logs to track and analyze production issues and optimize stored procedures for improved database responsiveness. Identifying duplicate or unused stored procedures to streamline code and reduce errors. Collaboration with database management team to establish database user provisioning and access management for the core applications. Participate in unit and regression testing by assisting business analysis team to mine and translate complex dataset. Work with data modelling team to draft/maintain system data model and data dictionary. Establish standards for system documentation and advise other team members. Mandatory Qualifications: Works in the field of Information Technology, experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms. 84+ Months-Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. Preferred Qualifications: 84 months experience in designing advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, scripts, cursors and views 84 months experience in MS SQL Server Management Studio 84 months experience in data modelling and designing data architecture development 60 months experience in SQL code tuning, consolidating views and tracking database performance metrics 60 months experience in designing reports using either Crystal Reports or Business Objects XI or SSRS 60 months experience in designing and maintaining data dictionary and system documentation Languages Must have English Native or bilingual proficiency Additional vendor information Candidates need to meet 60% of the Preferred Qualifications to qualify for the position.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
