DevOps Background with Kubernetes(+). Enabling B&R process Jira - leveraging Kubernetes. What is the project they are selling - internally impacts all development groups at WF, direction with containerization is based on Kubernetes (Pivotal) KPS - Cloud Foundry, everything is deployed in a Kubernetes container. The project extends the B&R pipeline to support Kubernetes from a provisions and deployment into it perspective, the idea being that they want self-service full service. Java: Groovy Automation Boot on top of Java - Java/Groovy - DevOps concepts around Jenkins and those patterns from a customization perspective, aware of PKS services as well. Looking for good CORE java Developers - variety and exposure. Financial background - Not Required / 1700 Java apps to be enabled on it Version of Java: Groovy defined SW Pipeline on top of Jenkins written in Java 8 Some Frontend and Backend experience. REST webservices. Not looking for a Spring Boot expert - not looking for a master of anything in Java - exposure and concept of a Full Stack Developer. FE: Angular and React are what they are using. Supporting some node. Unit Testing - some level of experience with Junit (minimum) - Cucumber is a plus Behaviors Driven Testing/TDD - apply concepts/knowledge Jira Resource - Not coming out today / Senior level - SME - setup, configure, customize etc. Team: Working with product teams - 7 or 8 agile teams, each has 8 people focused on 1 of 4 products. They support developer and cloud enablement - cross over for both teams. Their team is geographically distributed. There wont be much outreach to the community that comes to the product team - 2 week sprints. KPI/Evaluation: Based on the sprint, user story is completed, test accuracy, solid codes and how much break do your create? Pain Points: People need to be confident, self-sufficient, self-driven, no leadership to direct through problems. Need to take work and fix on their own.
