This is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity. The manager is specifically looking for candidates with the following experience: - Development skillset: experience with an object-oriented programming language -C# required- Ruby would be great and Javascript, Angular JS even better. - Experience writing unit tests and unit test cases in C#; someone who creates frameworks to write their own unit tests. - Experience with web services (XML, SOAP, REST) and web widgets (Angular JS- most important). - Microsoft certifications in C# is a plus but not required. Brief Description: Software Developer responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining automated testing software and scripts that address the functional, unit, regression, and performance testing requirements of complex applications. Job Functions: Create and execute automated tests for functional, system, regression and integration tests and working experience with automated testing tools (SoapUI, Selenium, etc.). Development experience with Web Services (XML, SOAP, REST), Web Widgets (Angular JS), Web Applications, and MVC Framework. Working experience with Web Service testing tools (SoapUI or JMeter). Strong understanding of databases (Oracle or MS SQL Server) and familiar with related SQL tools. Able to partner with business and IT Development to identify the portions of an application that are most likely to lead to failures and cause production incidents in order to develop automated tests that regularly stress these potential failure-points in the application. Define and generate quality assurance test metrics from automated testing and report on outcomes to management. Provide level of effort estimates to management. Attend project meetings and review requirements. Complete code reviews of modifications to automated tests and obtain sign-off before activating. Support automated testing of client and product launches, eCommerce and web applications, etc. Proactively identifies and makes recommendations to QA Team for enhancing automated testing. Cross train QA team on executing automated tests and analyzing the results. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience. Two (2) to six (6) years of development and unit testing experience. Two (2) to (4) years of Web Service and Web Application experience.
