These are deployed in a RAC configuration, and use both Data Guard and GoldenGate for replication. Features such as partitioning and encryption are also used. Responsibilities include: - Development and design of database strategies, database products/tools selection and integration, system monitoring, improving database performance, active capacity planning and management. - Coordinating and applying Oracle patches - Backup and recovery policies and procedures - Coordination with Oracle, data center support team and other Technical Architecture and Operations team - Supporting database issues in production, including on-call support as needed - Supporting application development and performance test teams on Oracle-related topics and issues - Ownership of database environment design and implementation for development and test databases Technical Skills Skill Years/Level of Experience Mandatory Minimum 4 years of strong Oracle 11g or 12c DBA experience with specific knowledge of RAC, ASM, GoldenGate, Data Guard, RMAN, Patching, AND/OR Security 4 Minimum 1 year experience with Linux, preferably in a VMware environment 1   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
