We have a 24-month project with our client in Albany, NY that requires an IT Specialist, Expert CLIMS is the Laboratory Information Management System supporting the NYS Public Health Labs. This suite of applications resides on a secure infrastructure that requires maintenance, monitoring and systematic upgrades. Will need an expert to assist with these tasks to expedite processing of public health samples submitted for testing. Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Provide production support for Linux and Windows operating systems in a VMWare environment. Develop/Support scripts which may be used for a variety of purposes such as security patching and system monitoring. Assist with monitoring of the virtual and physical infrastructure. Collaborate with technical workgroups to identify and document server infrastructure needs and prioritize subsequent implementation. Mandatory Qualifications: Works in the field of Information Technology, experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms - beyond that of a Programmer. 84+ Months-Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. Preferred Qualifications: 84 months experience planning, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting VMware products 84 months of experience in an enterprise data center environment working with storage arrays, storage area networks and data backups. 84 months of experience in planning, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting Citrix farms. 72 months experience with testing, troubleshooting, and deploying applications, upgrades, and operating system security updates in a virtual environment 72 Months of experience in automating jobs via scripting languages for virtual environments and/or storage arrays. 60 months experience in coordinating with network teams to implement and debug changes in a 3-tier architecture. 12 Months experience using an Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) System, i.e. ServiceNow Bachelors degree in science/technical field Citrix certified integration architect Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or VMware Certified Professional   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
