Good communication skills are needed and will be articulating to team member, upper management and the business what/defining the issue, define the impact this will have on the systems and what they are going to do to solve the issues. Spent years workin gin different technologies Handle performance issues, using sniffer, finding root causes of issues Troubleshooting skills, proactive and use of past experience required Cisco Nexus platform BCP nice to have this is part of the Cisco Nexus platform It has to do with configuration of virtual port connections Any Sniffer, F5 or load balancing experience Worked in large scale or enterprise level enviornments Normal 8 hour work day with a rotational On-call required for a week. Contract Assignment 12+ months Senior Network Operations Specialist needed for a 12 month contract opportunity in Orlando. Network Operations team holds accountability for the availability and stability of the network services. This includes Data Center networks, Wide Area and Metro Area networks, wireless, end-user LANs, firewalls, WAN acceleration, application load-balancing and a wide array of supporting technologies. The Sr. Network Engineer will ensure that we are developing the most appropriate plans for incident recovery, network changes, and adherence to configuration standards. The Sr. Network Engineer need to apply his or her deep technical expertise in routing and switching (especially in the Cisco Nexus platform), load-balancing, firewalls and/or wireless to consult with Engineering to understand the engineering standards, and interpret this into specific tactical plans to manage our outsourced services suppliers in the appropriate technical directions. The qualified candidate will have the following responsibilities. Strategy Contributor into the development of the Network Operations Strategy and into supporting organizational strategies. Accountable for developing and socializing technical solution and process based strategies for functions within defined roles and responsibilities. Responsible for influencing the strategies of peer organizations ensuring that their strategic plans are in alignment with the technical direction of Network Operations and/or Strategy and Architecture. Ensure that all new network services are designed to deliver the levels of availability required by the business, and validate the final service design to meet operational needs of the business to ensure excellent service delivery Technical Leadership Provide technical leadership during major incidents and drive to quickly resolve complex escalated network incidents Coach team members on a proactive basis, raising the teams overall technical acumen Work with service provider partner to ensure the proper level of technical acumen and quality are executed within the contracted services Understand the approach required to influence and motivate managed services resources to deliver tec   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
