The Technical Specialist will perform tasks to convert data from legacy external software applications to Epic and serve as the primary support contact for the conversion to which the resource is assigned. Conversion analysts are responsible for analyzing, extracting, and formatting external systems data in order to bring that data into Epic. They are also responsible for setup and configuration of the Epic conversion interfaces within the Bridges application. Finally, conversion analysts are responsible for loading, testing, and organizing validation of external data within Epic. They work closely with the interface team, application teams, and technical teams to ensure that conversions meet the expectations of your end users. Key Responsibilities • Identifying and escalating risks associated with technical project tasks • Coordinating application build requirements for conversion across teams • Communicating with technical analysts and SMEs • Defining the transport method by which extracted source system data will be communicated to Epic • Troubleshooting the data transport mechanism • Understanding Epic data structures and documenting technical specifications detailing target data elements • Interpreting the defined scope and defined business requirements for each dataset in the creation of each technical specification • Analyzing and manipulating external data into an appropriate format for HL7 conversion filing into Epic • Communicating with technical and external database analysts   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
