The ERP administrator cares for the system by applying vendor provided fixes to bugs, enhancements and supporting the technical infrastructure on which it runs. This also includes managing the technical governance of the Advantage ERP system architecture and infrastructure, including HRM and Financials. ERP Administration Tasks - 1. ERP administrators wear many hats. Their responsibilities include: a) Troubleshooting system problems b) Help desk support c) Security administration d) Database backup schedules e) Manage and communicating maintenance schedules (patches and upgrades) f) Managing interfaces to and from other systems g) Performing system patches and upgrades h) Assist with training needs Qualifications include: Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. 8-10 years of ERP experience preferred. Advantage ERP highly preferred Prior system administration experience in Advantage, PeopleSoft or Oracle ERP. Required Skills and Experience: Excellent understanding of the ERP application architecture including the infrastructure, table structure, design standards and protocols, and delivered objects. Strong expertise in the tools involved in administering the ERP system, including Change tools and change /configuration management. Strong experience and knowledge in relational database technologies and administration, preferably SQL Server. Solid understanding of work estimation methodology. Expertise with system tools for monitoring, testing, and debugging. Excellent analytical, design and problem solving skills. Solid skills in documentation and organization. Strong written and oral communication skills. Sound leadership and interpersonal skills. Skill sets for an ERP administrator include technical knowledge of how the system is built and the technical infrastructure it runs on. Basic understanding of what all of the applications and modules in the system do and how they integrate with each other. Liaison between functional process owners and the pure technical resources such as database administrators and network specialists. Good knowledge of DB2 databases. Good Java skills, development frameworks and code deployments experience. Unix scripting knowledge is a big plus. Good knowledge of Advantage ERP applications is highly desirable (Payroll, Financials and ADM). Alternatively skills in a comparable ERP application such as PeopleSoft HRM / FMS or Oracle e-Business suite will be considered.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
