We have a 24-month project with our client in Brooklyn, NY that requires a Software Architect, Expert The Software Architect partners with end users/client personnel to translate business needs into a data model that will be the basis for a solution that closely aligns with the business requirements. Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Create conceptual, logical and physical data models for transactional systems in ERwin Guide business discovery sessions with the end users Plan, implement and manage systems initiatives with IT and customer teams. Establish & maintain data technical standards as described in data dictionaries and source to target mapping documents. Database Performance Monitoring, Capacity Planning, Trend Forecasting. Document and improve upon processes, procedures, and best practices to align with industry standards and customer needs. Meet Disaster Recovery requirements to ensure Business Resumption requirements. Provide high-level of customer satisfaction to internal and external customers, applying necessary sense of urgency and creativity in problem identification and prompt incident resolution. Provide advanced database systems administration. Analyze system performance and suggest/implement tuning as needed. Administer MS SQL server database. Understand the data and be able to define its usefulness to the DOE. Provide a suitable data model that can deal with the data and its meanings. Mandatory Qualifications: Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large-scale software system. Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. Preferred Qualifications: 84 Months experience in Data Modeling/Architecture (conceptual, logical, physical, understanding of the data) 84 Months experience in Database Management performing installation, configuration, customization, implementation and support of SQL Server Database. 84 Months experience in creating Data Dictionaries and Data Mappings documents. 84Months experience and expertise in monitoring and troubleshooting ETL, DTS, SSIS and Data warehouse queries. 84 Months experience in SQL Server Performance Tuning, Query Optimization and Production support. 84 Months experience writing complex Stored Procedure/ Functions in PL/T-SQL and MS SQL. Writing complex Shell Scripts to support SQL and other functions.
