Position: Data Warehouse Architect/Developer Location: Irvine, CA Duration: 3-6 months Provides the highest technical expertise for the planning, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organizations server-class databases. Handles and leads the most complex or critical data/ database management initiatives that typically involve multiple disciplines and multiple business groups, including responsibility for database architecture, design, integration, and/or data modeling. As the recognized technical expert, consults extensively with multiple client groups to provide strategic solutions, influencing long-range internal and enterprise-level data/ database architecture and management strategies. Serves as a consultant on technological advancements. Provides oversight, mentoring and leadership to less experienced staff. May represent the organization as an external spokesperson.: 10+ years database design and administration experience. Additional Job Details: Data Warehouse Architect/Developer: This position involves design and development of the DW tables, ETL jobs and processes to support the business requirements for Data Warehouse. 7+ years of experience in a Data Warehouse environment. Familiarity with Informatica, Erwin, Oracle and UNIX are essential. Metadata management and data integrity skills will be an added benefit. General Duties/responsibilities: Collects business requirements Designs solutions in Data Warehouse to meet business requirements Creates prototypes/ETL specifications based on requirements and analysis of data Designs and develops ETL mappings and workflows/sessions Creates scripts for Oracle database tables and unit tests them Creates/modifies UNIX scripts Ensures adherence to locally defined standards for all developed components Supports the development and design of the internal data integration framework Performs unit tests and initial QA tests with test data Participates in DI design of new Data Warehouse projects Participates in design and development reviews Works with source system owners to resolve source data issues and refine transformation rules Support all on-call production duties Other Requirements: Bachelors degree in CS or relevant discipline Masters degree preferred 5+ years of experience as an architect and an ETL developer Informatica, Erwin, Oracle and Unix skills essential Informatica Certification and/or Data Modeling certifications preferred Metadata management and data integrity skills will be an added benefit Effective oral and written communication skills required Strong teamwork skills essential   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
