Job Description Analyst: SQL, ETL, Data Warehouse, Data Analysis Quality Assurance Testing

Job Description :

Summary:

The IT Senior Quality Assurance Analyst, under minimal supervision, is responsible for ensuring overall product quality and providing complete test coverage to ensure that Quality Assurance standards and specifications are met. This team member collaborates directly with a cross-functional team of Architects, Designers, Developers, Engineers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to facilitate the design and development process and ensure quality deliverables. A successful candidate for this position will be able to understand software requirements, create test plans and test cases, execute test cases, articulate test results, and objectively assess production readiness from a quality perspective. Additionally, the candidate must be able to effectively juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.



Essential Job Functions/Duties:

· Review requirements and ensure complete test coverage of product functionality.

· Drive testability requirements and process changes as necessary to achieve quality goals.

· Develop, maintain, and execute test scripts and test cases and execute tests to validate new and regress existing features.

· Prepare thorough and accurate documentation of testing analysis performed.

· Manage Bug Triage Process and ensure all issues are handled efficiently per process.

· Provide timely status updates and assist the team in making decisions about release readiness.

· Participate in all aspects of a full-lifecycle development methodology, and related quality concepts and processes.

· Performs troubleshooting software/hardware configuration problems.

· Exposure to automation test creation, execution and automation test script maintenance.

· Identifies and resolves escalations with emphasis on root cause analysis.

· Mentor and lead QA analyst(s) and ensure efficient distribution of testing responsibilities.



Job Specifications:

· Must be at least 21 years of age.

· High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelors degree in a computer science discipline or a comparable level of experience preferred.

· 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or a similar position strongly preferred.

· Must have prior experience with website testing.

· Must have experience with Microsoft Office suite of products.

· Must have prior experience with test management tools. Experience with Microsoft Test Manager is a plus.

· Proficiency with MS SQL Server and data modeling concepts.

· Prior experience with Agile Scrum is preferred.

· Prior experience with automated testing is preferred.

· Must have strong organizational, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

· Must be a self-starter and work independently with little guidance.

· Excellent collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Must have strong customer service, and interpersonal skills.

· Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Prior gaming experience is a plus.
