Specific Responsibilities: * Understand and translate business requirements into Data Warehouse solutions. * Code ETL scripts that will extract data from an operational database and populate the target data warehouse. * Develop shell scripts for production job automation. * Work in a 24x7 environment which requires on-call rotation. * Provide query writing support and tuning expertise to end users. * Document code and processes for distribution to all interested parties. * Design scheme for extracting data from various transactional databases. * Design scheme for transforming and loading that data into the data warehouse. * Document design using industry standard artifacts for documenting data warehouse designs. * Previous experience with ETL tools, preferable Informatica PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * 7-8 years of experience in database development * Strong problem solving and analytical skills * Exceptional Oracle SQL skills. Hands on experience with set based operations, analytic functions and query hints. * Thorough knowledge of data warehouse principles and techniques. * Proficiency with Linux and shell scripting. * Experience working with a large, multi-terabyte data warehouse. * Experience with Medicaid or healthcare industry. * Experience with Perl, system administration, database administration, storage architectures, backup & recovery and networking. * Technophile with command of the command line.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
