Pull the data from SQL Server into Snowflake to test Bonus: Snowflake or Red Point Data Manager experience (not necessary) Essential Duties and Responsibilities Understand business requirements, technical design, the products and functions to be tested. Assist with creating detailed, comprehensive, effective and well-structured end-to-end test plans for the QA & ensure there are no gaps or overlaps Apply Test Data Management practices and tools relative to providing data teams with test data requirements Understand Databases and data flows to create test scenarios and test cases to verify the correct and effective functioning of the solution against the requirements Ensure that test cases are sufficiently detailed to avoid any ambiguity on the precise steps and expected results Execute the test cases, document the test results, assist with root cause analysis of issues, and validate correct execution Identify, record, and document defects in the defect management tool (SPIRA/ JIRA), providing information to reproduce the issue and support effective resolution of the problems Execute thorough regression testing of defects Track, monitor and report QA metrics such as execution status, number of defects, type, root cause, etc. for your assigned projects Qualifications High level of QA experience and proficiency 3-5 years experience in requirements analysis, system documentation, development and execution of test plans and test cases for multi-language and multi-platform systems. QA software testing methodology, QA tools, SDLC, and Agile/Waterfall experience SQL experience for data services, data warehouse, and conversion testing roles Experience working with Database testing techniques using SQL server/ Oracle and strong understanding of database schemas Experience with API and ETL testing Experience with Data management testing Experience in all phases of functional, regression, acceptance, configuration, and security testing. Demonstrated capabilities to interact with business owners, end users, project managers, developers, database administrators and system engineers Strong self-motivation, work ethic, teamwork and a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
