Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding, and tests/debugs programs. Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation. Recommends changes in development, maintenance, and system standards. Trains users in conversion and implementation of system Education: 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience Experience: 6+ years of experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems Skills : In-depth knowledge of software, documentation, utilities and program scripts, and excellent written and verbal communication skills Additional Knowledge & Skills * Expertise in SQL/PLSQL development, stored procedures and triggers in an Oracle environment * Expertise in one or more ETL tools such as Oracle Warehouse Builder (preferred), Informatica, Data Stage, etc. * Expertise in one or more data modeling tools such as ERwin, Toad, etc. * Experience with change data capture tools such as IBM Infosphere Change Data Capture (preferred) * Experience in query performance tuning * Experience participating in a production support on-call rotation * Proficiency in UNIX operating systems and UNIX shell scripting * Comprehensive understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling techniques, and integration methodologies * Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise judgment * Strong interpersonal and written communication skills * Ability to work with IT and business partners to gather, analyze business requirements, and translate them into technical tasks * Experience with Business Objects report development is considered a plus   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
