As a self-motivated and enthusiastic member of the First Line of Defense Center of Excellence (FLOD COE) team, you will Job Description Responsibilities: Work with extremely talented peers in a fun environment building performance efficient, highly scalable, configurable solutions spanning multiple technologies and platforms –Teradata, Hadoop, HBase, Oracle, SAS, Tableau, Microstrategy, Informtica, Golden gate, Kafka etc. Create and monitor ETL / data processes Create design documents that describe the functionality, capacity, architecture, and process. Develop, test and implement data solutions based on finalized design documents. Comfortable working in an agile environment and with cross-functional teams, should have appetite to learn and be flexible to pick up new technology. Proactively identify potential production issues and recommend and implement solutions. Identify potential solutions, shortlist and compare them. Finalize the solution by collaboration with business. Partner with Risk and Compliance users to define, analyze, document their analytical and operational data needs. Partner with other FLOD COE teams to offer insights and opportunities to adjust priorities, processes, and documentation. Support special projects and initiatives as needed Qualifications & Requirements: Optimization techniques (performance, scalability, monitoring, etc.) Strong understanding of database principles, SQL, and experience working with large databases beyond just data access Experience with Teradata/BTEQ Good understanding of algorithms, data structure, and performance Experience with version control systems, particularly GIT Experience with Python / Shell scripting or similar scripting tools. Experience in working with batch processing/ real-time systems using various open source technologies like Solr, Hadoop, NoSQL, Spark, Pig, Hive, etc. Implemented complex projects dealing with the considerable data size (PB). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proven ability to function well independently as well as in a team Ability to prioritize deliverables and projects to meet timelines efficiently, to adapt to changes in priorities quickly and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously to drive projects to completion and deliver quality materials under tight deadlines Bachelors/Masters Degree in relevant field and 3-5 years programming experience Experience in financial services industry preferred   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
