Job Description : SQL Developer Contract: 12 month (possible extension) Location: Charlotte, NC Top 3 requirements: Strong SQL programming Create complex SQL query tables, views, index Analyze and create new code and be able to troubleshoot 5-7 years Plus: financial and market risk The open position is a Senior SQL Developer. The Sr. SQL Developer will work in a team to fulfill regulatory and business reporting requirements. The candidate shall have strong SQL programming experience with good understanding of database theory, design, and application. The developer will be expected to Work closely with business partners to understand their needs and to design/implement appropriate solutions. Design and implement database schema, including table and view creation. Maintain existing code base and develop new code including complex SQL queries, stored procedures, etc. Analyze and troubleshoot data discrepancies, anomalies, and other reporting related issues; provide impact analysis and needed corrections after consulting business partners. Carry out and improve data collection and report generation processes. Assure quality, maintainability, and extensibility for supported systems and risk applications. Write technical documents. Minimum Qualifications 7+ years application development and implementation experience 5+ years of data modeling and SQL programming experience; SQL Server 2012 or later preferred 3+ years of experience with data analysis on large data sets Attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem solving skill Extensive database and SQL skills. Can design and implement table/view, write and debug complex SQL statements and stored procedures Strong communication skill and team player Preferred Skills Bachelor degree in Science, Computer Science, or Engineering Excel programming experience Familiarity with agile software development techniques including designing software for unit testing and acceptance testing Experience with full lifecycle software development Basic understanding of financial concepts and instrument types with a preference on Market Risk knowledge   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
