The Network Engineer will assess and identify appropriate solutions to be integrated into the corporate supported environments. JOB DUTIES – INCLUDES PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES ONLY • Supports and maintains the core network and all components supporting all global corporate locations, data centers and services. • Administer and monitor LAN/WAN network switches, routers, Wireless and physical environment. • Optimize network performance for new system integration and processes. • Develop, implement and oversee policies and procedures to ensure consistent network services, uptime, regulatory compliance and data protection. • Racking and installing LAN/WAN hardware. Perform firmware upgrades on all network devices. • Provide capacity planning, performance analysis, and develop data disaster recovery plans for the network environment. • Perform on-site and remote technical support. • Assists in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources. • Creates and maintains technical documentation. • Assist in resolving escalated incidents and participate in problem management activities. • Availability for after hour and weekend support is a must. • Role sometimes requires scheduling and attendance on overnight maintenance windows. • Resource can expect to routinely be called upon to analyze and interpret traffic and utilization of services on network connection. • Participate in and/or manage cross-functional team projects to implement new or updated technology. • Day-to-day interaction with telecom providers, equipment suppliers and 3rd party network vendors, to engage their technical resources to perform tasks. • Participation in disaster recovery exercises, pre-production certification testing and troubleshooting events is expected. • Accountable for resolving all project level, cross-functional, partnership issues and escalations. JOB REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIONAL POSITION FUNCTIONS • High organizational skills • Ability to handle multi-tasks and meet deadlines • Ability to work efficiently and productively without direction or guidance • Capable of exercising extreme discretion and independent judgment • Ability to handle extremely confidential information in a professional manner • Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, with a high level of confidence • MS Office skills especially word and excel EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE • College degree or comparable certification in IT, telecommunications, computer science, or related field is preferred. • 5+ years experience required in design, planning, coordination and implementation of technology projects among multiple telecom and equipment vendors and customers. ADDITIONAL SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Preferred Cisco Certifications – CCNA, CCDA, CCNP and CCIE • Familiarity with project management methodology. • Familiarity with ITIL v3. • Familiarity with VoIP JOB REQUIREMENTS • Bachelors degree in Networking, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent industry experience. • Experience (5 years) Network Engineer experience- plan, design, configuration and support in multiplatform environments. • Experience with routing, switching and firewall on Cisco hardware platforms. • Prior experience with VRF, NAT/PAT • Load balancer configurations (ACE, Netscaler, Foundry) • NX-OS Experience • Firewall Experience • Wireless network and security. • IP subneting and management.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
