Systems Architect II External Services Division Waterways and Wetlands Program It is looking for a Systems Architect to maintain and enhance the Waterway and Wetland database and user interface for this system. The candidate must have at least 8 years of experience in software design and development with a focus on the integration of internal business systems across multiple functional areas, notably in areas supporting information systems for natural resource management and geospatial data. The candidate must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently perform a variety of complicated tasks, and work with a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Preferred that the candidate has experience in design and integration of business applications and enterprise IT infrastructure, the design and development of custom modules/solutions, and the integration of these components with packaged solutions. The candidate must have proven methodology experience for complex systems integration projects and demonstrated ability to achieve deliverables on time and on budget. The primary deliverables of this project are: • Maintain current system functionality and implement high priority system enhancements and bug fixes to ensure core business functions remain supported by the current system. • Identify opportunities for improvement in process for sending data to DNR GIS Server and data structure of current materialized view used by the existing Surface Water Data Viewer. • Review the report generation functionality of the current system, propose improvements to letter generator / template module, and develop Program-approved enhancements to letter generator / template module. Top Skills: • Experience with Oracle database development and maintenance. • .NET framework and C# programming language to create web applications. • Geographic Information System (GIS) and • Geospatial database development • Integrations with web mapping applications.
