However, all selected candidates will have to come to Richmond for a personal interview.] This position provides support for the secure exchange of electronic health data and school absentee data. Specifically this position will work with the Virginia Department of Healths (VDH) healthcare and school messaging partners to help them create, validate, and securely send: 1) HL7 ORURO1 messages that adhere to CDCs 2.3.1 implementation guide or HL7s 2.5.1 implementation guide 2) delimited school absentee messages that adhere to the VDH standard format 3) HL7 2.3.1 or HL7 2.5.1 syndromic messages 4) delimited syndromic messages that adhere to the ESSENCE standard format Other duties will include working with messaging partners on standardizing their vocabulary when necessary, mapping messaging partners vocabulary to standard vocabulary sets if required, transforming messages into other message formats if needed, and working with existing messaging partners to enhance their current data feeds to VDH ensuring consistent completeness of the messages and adherence to our messaging standards. After messages have been received, this position will be responsible for validating, testing, and routing them to the appropriate applications at VDH. Candidates must have: • Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare and school messaging partners technical and administrative personnel regarding all aspects of messaging • Experience using Orion Healths Rhapsody and Symphonia integration and mapping tools. Experience with other message broker or integration engine tools may be considered. • Experience with planning and implementing data exchanges between multiple organizations. • Experience transforming and integrating data, especially mapping messages from one format to another. • Experience with building, parsing, and testing HL7 ORURO1 version 2.3.1 or 2.5.1 messages. • Familiarity using digital certificates to authenticate and encrypt/decrypt. • Working knowledge of SQL and experience with SQL Server. • Experience using SFTP   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
