Responsibilities: * Research, design, develop, configure, integrate, test, and maintain existing and new business applications and/or information systems solutions including databases through integration of technical and business requirements. * Applications and infrastructure solutions include both 3rd party software and internally developed applications and infrastructure. * Analysis of business requirements, coding of modifications or new program, creation of documentation, testing and maintenance of applications, infrastructure, and information systems including database management systems. * Work within the Information Technology function, obtaining resources and working in support of objectives and strategies. * Provide required documentation and participates in architecture reviews to ensure that the solutions comply with standards and use approved technologies. * Recognized authority internally and externally on leading-edge technologies, theories, or techniques. * Provide innovative solutions to complex and critically sensitive issues affecting multiple disciplines and work groups. * Determine and pursue courses of action essential in accomplishing objectives. * Integrate advanced technology, theories or techniques that have a significant continued impact across disciplines and business units. Technical Skills: * 5+ years Java and Junit development experience * HPUX/Linux platform knowledge. Perl and shell scripting proficiency. * Working knowledge of Spring Framework and MVC architecture * Experience with programming languages (Java, C, C++, C#, VB.Net), databases (SQL Server / Oracle, and testing tools * Experience configuring and using Apache/Tomcat * Experience designing and developing distributed applications * Pluses: Familiarity and ease with Eclipse, Maven, SVN, SQLite, Jetspeed, OpenPortal, Derby, portlet development * Programming software for operating systems, utilizing machine assembly and/or job control languages and software capabilities. IT Process Knowledge: * Understands project lifecycles, development, test, and production environments, ITIL processes. * Network and engage confidently with a variety of IT professionals in support of the application and its environment * Responsible for providing ultimate product support, efficiently diagnose system problems * Quickly develops both a broad and deep understanding of the applications architecture and implementation * Technical management of a small team of engineers, including individuals from other time zones and countries * Experience of multiple full release cycles. * Advanced understanding of modern software development methodologies. * Advanced understanding of modern software development tools and SCM. * Advanced understanding of Software Test methodologies, and an expert in testing tools.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
