The successful candidate will collaborate with application developers to render page templates based on wireframes and visual design created by the in-house product design team. Requirements Knowledge and experience with the following technologies: o More than 3 years experience hand coding HTML & CSS o HTML 5 o JavaScript o jQuery, ExtJS, AJAX o XML The successful candidates will: o Accurately interpret visual design and wireframes into code o Quickly address browser or platform compatibility issues o Code from scratch rather than search for code to adapt o Research and learn continuously o Communicate best practice recommendations to developers o Handle multiple projects and deadlines o Work collaboratively in an Agile environment Desired but not required There are a number of initiatives where the successful candidate could provide depth of experience in one or more of the following areas: o Web application development o iPhone, iPad o Social media and knowledge management o SharePoint Knowledge and Skill Requirements: o Thorough knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JSP General knowledge of supporting front-end disciplines (Design, IA) with thorough understanding of the front-end impacts. o General knowledge of back-end technologies along with thorough understanding of the front-end impacts. o General understanding of technology trends and technical developments. o General knowledge of client/server technical architectures. o General knowledge of desktop software and hardware technologies. o General knowledge of applications development processes and tools. o Demonstrated ability to work in teams, participate in the development of objectives and resolution of issues. o General knowledge of businesses and management processes. Acquires and effectively demonstrates any additional knowledge and skill requirements as requested. Expectations: o Maintains and consistently demonstrates a general knowledge of company guidelines, processes, practices and procedures. o Monitors technology trends and researches relevant technical developments for practical application. o Participates in the development of tactical or strategic technology directions. o Participates in meetings with content, fellow coders, applications developers and technology & operations staff, identifying issues/concerns, and ensuring appropriate follow-up. o Works with the business unit to under their needs, review requirements and provide feasibility input. o Participates in technical projects in support of applications development projects. o Educates team members about the technical issues of systems development projects. o Analyzes and evaluates the technical requirements of proposed systems. o Assists application development teams in the selection and application of appropriate technical standards. o Assists in the estimation of technical architecture development efforts and prioritization of tasks for technical architecture releases and implementation. o Participates in the design of technical architecture components in support of application requirements. o Conducts analysis of hardware and software, as needed for the implementation of a technical architecture. o Participates in the development efforts with the application development team members. o Provides status updates and reports to project management and development team members on a consistent basis. o Develops or integrates components of the tec   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
