A minimum of 2 years hands-on experience required managing a big data ecosystem. Qualifications: 2 years in-depth experience with Hadoop ecosystem 3 or more years of Linux OS and system management experience. Five or more years in at least one scripting language ( Perl, Python, Java, Shell ) Hands-on experience with Hadoop stack. ( MapReduce, YARN, Sqoop, Plume, Hive, Pig, Falcon) Hands on day-to-day operation of the environment, strong knowledge and deployment experience in Hadoop ecosystem Responsibilities: Install OS and Hadoop updates, patches, version upgrades as required Adding and removing cluster nodes Ability to plan, manage HDFS storage capacity and disk utilization Ability to consult and advise a team on best tool selection, best practices and optimal processes Assist developers with troubleshooting MapReduce, BI jobs as required Cluster monitoring and troubleshooting using tools such as Ganglia, Nagios, Ambari Manage and review data backups and restores Implement new Hadoop infrastructure, OS integration and application installation.
