Having in depth expertise in Cognos is mandatory Acts in the highest level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives. Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs. Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors. Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs, coding, and testing. Leads most complex multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts. Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process.: 10+ years application development and implementation experience. Qualified candidates must have proven experience with web development using Java/JavaScript and SQL databases with demonstrated ability in supporting enterprise level business-critical applications. Responsible for working closely with application technical leads, QA leads, and business groups to ensure successful collaboration and implementation. The qualified candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills in addition to technology acumen. This candidate will play a central role in functionality development of a critical application. Basic Qualifications 7+ Years of Web Development in the following areas • Java front and back end development • Experience with Java / JavaScript frameworks which may include Groovy (preferred), jQuery, AngularJS, Spring, React, REST • SQL - ability to use SQL to retrieve data and author complex insert, update and delete queries. Ability to author and debug complex stored procedures, views, and indexes MVC • DOM (Document Object Model) • File I/O using Java • Environmental setup and maintenance • Experience with full lifecycle software development • Experience in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies • Experience using Subversion (preferred) or source control software for code merging/branching • Solid understanding of technical and infrastructure architecture and documentation • Solid understanding of secure coding practices • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem solving techniques Preferred: • Previous experience with Tomcat/Apache-based applications • Previous experience with rules engines.
