You will design and build features of loss related products for payments and non-payment transactions for PayPal and cross properties. Key Responsibilities: • Help build and enhance the SOLR platform that can be leveraged by PayPal risk, finance, compliance and other stakeholders for risk mitigation, transaction decision-making and forecasting • Be the technical expert on SOLR platform including loss, payment processing, risk management and operations and help shape the next generation SOLR platforms/products • Collaborate with Product, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Operations • Own execution and work with teams in different geographical region to deliver solutions • Help the team architect not only the long-term state but also the path to get there, accounting for near-term product deliverables, technical debt, maturity and likely evolution of relevant technologies Requirements: • 7+ years of experience in development in ETL/data management domain • Bachelors degree preferred in engineering • Advanced knowledge of SQL • 2+ year of experience in Hive/Spark • Expert in data technologies like Teradata, HDFS/Hadoop eco system • Ability to work independently and proficiently. Accountable for own results, and is seen as clear technical and domain expert within group / geography • Ability to identify typical problems and issues during normal course of work and take proactive actions to solve them with minimum guidance • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills on a broad set of technical topics and general business issues • Ask open-ended questions and contribute to brainstorming and design discussions   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
