Submission Deadline : 7/18/2017 2:00 p.m. Central Time Client : Missouri Department of Transportation Description : MoDOT is currently using vSphere 5.5 and is looking to upgrade to 6.5. In order to prepare for a future upgrade, there needs to be a thorough analysis of MoDOTs current environment including the configuration and overall health. Provide day-to-day support and administration of the Missouri Department of Transportations (MoDOT) VMware & Hyper-V environment, as defined by MoDOT and availability of funds. This PAQ will provide coverage for the area VMware/vSphere and Hyper-V, related to day-to-day support and administration activities. Expected duties to include, but not be limited to, the following: • Manage VMware Infrastructure/vSphere & Hyper-V clusters on Production and Test/Development environments • Build, test, and maintain new VMs • Work with system owners and fine tune VM configurations to get the best performance/resource utilization • Detection of VMware issues, monitoring and ownership of standards and requirements • Participate in capacity planning for the infrastructure • Provide tools and procedures for resources provisioning • Document processes and procedures • Propose VM provisioning solutions to be analyzed and/or implemented • Evaluate and apply version updates to ESX hosts and vulnerability patches as needed • Develop and implement test plans to verify installation, upgrades or repairs, including back-out plans • Outstanding communication skills • Excellent troubleshooting skills • Ability to provide after-hours support occasionally as needed • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team • Initiative to research and resolve problems Contract period is July 25, 2017 through June 30, 2018. Minimum skillsets required by the individual performing the work under the resulting contract must include: • 5+ years experience with VMware & Hyper-V systems administration and support • Working experience with vSphere systems administration and support, including storage migrations, vMotion and P2V migrations • Basic understanding of Unix/Linux • Strong focus on vSphere capacity planning and performance tools All estimated numbers provided herein are for informational purposes only and are not intended to reflect any guaranteed usage of this PAQ. MoDOT does not guarantee any minimum or maximum amount of the Offerors services that may be required under this PAQ. Additional services will be requested on an as needed if needed basis. If the need for additional services arises, the Offeror and MoDOT will agree in writing on the scope, timing and cost of each deliverable before the commencement of work. For critical support, it will be assumed, for evaluation purposes only, 1940 hours of PAQ work will be performed during the contract period. The Offeror shall provide the classification titles and associated per hour rates for all classifications they intend to utilize. Issue documentation will include cost estimates based on hourly rates in this PAQ in order to determine estimates for complete work. The cost evaluation for this PAQ will be worth a total of 50 points. Estimate 40 hours per week (5 days). Working hours: M-F 7:30 – 4:00 with after hour availability for emergencies; Duration: 11 months.
