Able to handle full system built in functions, procs in db2 Develop/modify udfs and udas from scratch/existing Performance tuning techniques over db2 Good understanding of database concepts normalizations/de-normalizations, schemas, table spaces, buffer pools, temporary tables, views, materialized views, indexes, sequences, partitioning, UDF and Triggers etc Having strong usage of db2 utilities like dbsql, dbload, import/export etc… Ability to analyze existing code and modify them w.r.t. db2 with strong background in database programming using DB2/SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers and packages. Tuning techniques to prevent performance degradation and understanding on how to use Explain Plan/Query Analyzer/Optimization Tool is required. Working experience in database security, primarily on Encryption and decryption concepts is plus. IBM DB2 Stored Procedures – Create, Research, gather and analyze information. Strong experience with performance tuning for PLSQL coding. Ability to translate business requirements into technical design documents.
