This position will provide production support but also transition to the new BAS system over time. Interviews are tentatively scheduled for 9/1 (first round phone) and 9/8 (second round in-person). We have an immediate opening at the Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) for a Java Developer. ETF is a state agency that is recognized as a leader in providing public employee benefit systems. This position would work on a team with other developers to provide production support to mission critical applications and help ETF move to its future state by performing development on the new Benefits Administration System (BAS). The core technologies being used include: Java, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, Oracle, PL/SQL, Javascript, and JIRA. Responsibilities: • Provide production support for mission critical applications • Develop and test business applications using the following core technologies: Java, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, Oracle, PL/SQL, Javascript, and JIRA. Additional technologies for the BAS project include Kofax, Linux, GWT, WebLogic, Selenium, RabbitMQ, Maven, SVN, Eclipse, Crucible, Bamboo, and JMeter. • Produce Javadoc and other technical documentation as required • Follow and promote best practices and development standards • Perform business analysis—including gathering requirements and documenting use cases • Work with other staff to implement process improvements • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with team members, management, and business customers • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and produce results   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
