We have a 30-month project with our client in Albany, NY that requires a Database Architect, Expert Support and enhance IDMS/ADS & COBOL based applications. This includes Billing which incorporates multi-system data feeds to bill a variety of payors including Medicare, & Medicaid for services rendered as well as human resource applications. Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC). Check daily maintenance for IDMS. Resolve and notify responsible persons of problems from IDMS nightly maintenance jobs, IDMS aborts, Initial Program Loads, and Applications Development (APPDEV) program runs. Resolve ITSM Service Now calls directed to Data Administration for IDMS. Complete HELPDESK IDMS printer requests for end users. Monitor IDMS application database areas growth. Enlarge areas when they are over 75% full. Work with APPDEV staff to purge and archive data as needed. Schedule data archive jobs with Production Control Unit. Provide support to IDMS APPDEV staff. Complete special requests as needed. Co-ordinate and implement IDMS database changes with APPDEV staff when necessary. Maintain/Support IDMS security. Process security requests for access (RFAs) to complete IDMS users security update. Use IBM COBOL, JCL, CA-IDMS, CA-ADS to develop/maintain batch/online applications in an IBM z/OS environment. Perform analysis, design, coding, and testing of changes based on State/Federal mandates or requests from the OMH State Operations Finance Group. 8. Support billing of Medicare, Medicaid, Third Party Health Insurance (TPHI), & individuals (private parties). Monitor batch production jobs, analyze results, and address any aborts/system failures as needed. Diagnose and debug production issues reported via ITSM. Work with members of the Billing unit, DBA unit, and the office for Information Technology Services to migrate batch and online application changes to the QA and Production platforms following standard migration procedures. Work with Business Solutions and technical support staff to identify changes that are needed and the solution for implementing them. Mentor and assist other programmers and architects, both state and consultant, providing guidance for debugging, troubleshooting, securing, and deploying applications, data access, data communications and system architecture configurations. Report status of current tasks and outstanding issues to supervisor and other management as requested Mandatory Qualifications: Determines database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming; reviews objectives with clients; evaluates current systems; provides database support by coding utilities, responding to user questions, and resolving problems. 84+ Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. Preferred Qualifications: 85 Months IDMS DBA experience with database reorgs including subschema changes, record changes, adding/modifying elements and adding indexes 85 Months experience performing CA IDMS Database Administration and Maintenance Functions 85 Months experience with IDMS DBA Experience, supporting daily production IDMS maintenance jobs, including backup and recovery, monitoring/adjusting IDMS databases for optimal performance, as well as area resizing. 85 Months experience with IDMS DBA Experience, supporting IDMS security at the CV, application, and user levels. 85 Months experience working in an IBM z/OS environment and supporting batch processing us   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
