WI Dept. of Natural Resources currently has a hybrid work schedule in place (2 days a week in the office) Description : The Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Management Division (EM), Bureau of Water Quality is seeking to hire an Application Architect to design, develop and implement two new web applications. Candidate will be responsible for the design and development of the application ensuring quality and consistency of the applications architecture across the system. Provide day-to-day technical guidance on application objects, database components and system requirements. Will need to stay current on business initiatives and objectives related to infrastructure and development architecture issues. Conduct tasks and assignments as directed. Works with moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment. Job Requirements: • Understanding of current Application and Database Analysis and Design Concepts • Experience in application architectural oversight for design and implementation of relational database systems • Expert knowledge of Application Development and Support of IIS/ASP.Net/MVC/Oracle Server Based Systems Using Visual Studio in a complex, multi-platform environment • Experience in reviewing and documenting design specifications to assure the integrity and accuracy of the specifications • Design and develop the architecture for solutions, working closely with technical staff, product owners and project managers • Facilitates the evaluation and selection of software product standards and services, as well as the design of standard and custom software configurations • Defines and documents the guidelines, standards, and solution architecture to ensure product- based decisions are aligned with the enterprises future-state architecture vision • Experience following Waterfall or Iterative/Agile/Scrum Methodologies for completing projects from Initiation through Implementation and Maintenance • Experience in Integrating multiple applications (cloud and on-prem) • Experience in functional/technical documentation • Familiar with a variety of database design concepts, practices, and procedures. • Experience using Oracle, Oracle Procedures, views, performance tuning, etc. • Demonstrate strong written/verbal communication and organizational/time management skills   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
