We are seeking a technical support engineer to assist in the Application support, Application configuration, maintenance and management of a global Argus drug safety platform. This position is focused on Argus application support and administration, and also includes responsibilities and tasks in other, associated technical areas. Ideal candidate has an experience in supporting application in windows platform. General Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in windows server administration, IIS web server administration and network troubleshooting in an enterprise computing environment. Minimum 5 years of experience providing end-user application support for corporate applications in a windows environment required. Familiarity in managing service availability and SLAs. Customer service minded and solutions oriented with excellent problem solving skills Ability to effectively provision, install/configure, operate and maintain vendor packaged software applications/packages. Ability to research and develop solutions to new or unknown issues Able to work independently, manage time and complete tasks within deadlines Able to promptly answer support related tickets, email and other electronic communication Proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized. Assist project teams with technical issues, including definition of needs, benefits, technical strategy, technical analysis and design, support of operations staff in executing, testing, and rollout of solutions. Has technical research and development skills to enable continuing innovation with application environments Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills Bachelors degree preferred TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS Strong knowledge of Windows server administration and IIS web servers. Strong Knowledge of Windows Networking and SSO Working knowledge of working with Application, SQL Script deployments. Previous experience writing simple automation scripts using any language (VBScript, PowerShell, etc.) preferred. Understanding of local and wide area networks, protocol and simple network troubleshooting. QUALIFICATIONS Experience with Windows Server 2008 and above management, configuration, and support. Experience with IIS 7.0/7.5 configuration and support. Solid technical background and experience Possess fine-tuned analytical and troubleshooting skills and/or programming experience Possess relational database experience Possess system deployment/implementation expertise; preferably in a regulated environment Possess good organizational and communication skills Knowledge of the clinical drug development industry, procedures/processes, and regulatory standards desirable Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment; team player Knowledge and experience of Oracle Argus is desireable Knowledge and experience of Clintrace desirable.
