Experience with zOS DB2 is preferable. Responsibilities include: Specific for IMS database, support/maintain following areas: o Control block GENs like DBD/PSB/ACB, Randomizer Gens, RTT entries. o Database capacity planning monitor daily against forecast. Expand database size or tune as needed o Troubleshooting using Omegamon, lock analysis, IMS status code analysis, log analysis etc o ODBM/DB2 stored procedures for IMS data interface o Image Backup and recovery, Change Accumulation maintain IMS logs Maintain/setup database disaster recovery process. Support annual DR drill. Cloning data across regions for testing purpose Impact analysis for enhancements Support application developers as needed Maintain all database procedures documentation Production and pre-prod support, daily database monitoring Support database fix/upgrade, outage maintenance - coordinate with other Tech Ops teams and data center host as needed, perform regular post implementation verification checks Support IMS to DB2 change data capture for ETL Minimum Skills and qualifications: BS degree with 5+ years as IMS DBA with large and complex mainframe production and pre-prod environments 3+ years of experience using JCL, VSAM IMS DBA related utilities like Unload, Load, File Manager/File Aid, Omegamon, DBRC commands, FP Log Analyzer, IMS single point of control, Delta IMS, Backup and Recovery, Change accumulation Proven ability to work independently and as a team member Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills Preferred Skills and qualifications: DB2 DBA Experience with COBOL, CICS, Assembler programming is a plus Experience with Linux and Oracle and/or Greenplum databases is a plus Work Location Washington, DC   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
