This person needs to have a background in the native technology of the client app (in this case, Swift code), but also have some background in DevOPS/data analysis, etc. This person will be: Performing “hand off” duties when a release is defined and ready for testing/release. The Production engineer will coordinate with testing team(s) to make sure the testing group understands whats in the new build to make sure everything gets tested. Constantly monitor our data analytics systems looking for trends (good or bad) and getting ahead of any issues by creating tickets and supporting those tickets through triage. Sometimes, the production engineer will work directly with the developers to make sure that the issue is well understood and ready for work. Working closely with our Tech lead to ensure that upcoming releases are ready for production using testing results, analytics data to make sure regressions dont make it to production. This person will still write code, but that wont be their primary duty.
