The ideal candidate will be able to work remotely. Minimum of 3 years experience in a cloud or cloud-like environment Minimum of 7 years of experience in the following: - Cisco router and switch configuration, with a focus on architecture - Knowledge of routing and routed protocols, for example IP, OSPF, EIGRP - Knowledge of carrier networks and data communication technology, such as MPLS (PPP, Frame Relay), IP VPN, PTP, ISP - Knowledge of IPSec VPN based technologies - Knowledge of data center hosting architectures - Knowledge of cabling and wiring infrastructure - Knowledge of power and cooling provisioning for network equipment - IPv4 subnetting and administration - Network documentation - Operational troubleshooting in a production environment - Managing multiple projects and/or issues simultaneously - Ability to interact with various levels of management and support personnel Preferred Skills: - Undergraduate technical degree in Telecommunications, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science - Cisco Certified Network Associate or greater - Load Balancer technologies (ACE, F5) - General Firewall knowledge (Juniper, Cisco) - IPv6 (dual stack support, transition technologies) - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate technical information using non-technical language - Superior problem-solving skills - Excellent interpersonal skills - Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple activities - Ability to operate largely independently with guidance from lead - Ability to learn new technical skills quickly - Substantial knowledge of data security concepts - Knowledge of SNMP - Handling and Escalating highly impacting operational issues to upper level management and/or 3rd party vendor escalation - Understanding of Service Management (including ITIL) - Hypervisor software knowledge, specifically Vmware. - Understanding of Storage/Backup and replication architecture ********* BUSINESS PARTNERS - REFERRAL FEE PAID ******** **Must be able to be our W-2 employee - no sponsorships are available at this time***   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
