Candidates will work onsite. Our client is seeking a skilled Information Technology professional to join the Information Technology department as a User Support Specialist. Job duties Administer end-user equipment and supports end-user activities. Investigate user problems and identify their source; determine possible solutions; tests and implements solutions. Perform system user add, change and disable. Troubleshoot networks, systems and applications and engage appropriate resources to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties. Maintains documentation for operation and systems according to department standards. Log computer inventory information in the appropriate tracking system. Promote a safe and secure atmosphere, follow all safety and security rules and perform other related duties as assigned. Provide support to staff on all company-supported software and hardware. Requirements Applicants must have an Associates Degree in Business, Information Technology or related field or equivalent professional work experience. Applicants must have a minimum of one (1) year of IT related experience. Applicants must have the ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel. Applicants must have the ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks and related hardware and software. Applicants must have some knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures and techniques. Applicants must the ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems. Applicants must possess skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Applicants must have the ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
