The DB / Analyst should be able to understand how the requirements map to the technical solution and ensure scope and requirements of projects are met through the implementation Experience Required: ­ At least 5+ years of IT experience. ­ At least 3 years of experience as a senior technical resource on data warehousing projects ­ At least 2 years experience with OBIEE in particular ­ At least 2 years experience as a business analyst or Data Base Administrator implementing web based / data warehousing solutions for internet, extranet, and intranet applications. ­ Knowledge of business process analysis and formal development methodologies ­ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ­ Ability to translate complex business needs into use case-like models ­ Familiarity with reporting and ETL tools a plus ­ Must have excellent human relations, communications and analysis skills, planning and organizational proficiency and good business judgment. ­ Must be familiar with IT business practices and be able to interface and integrate with IT and Agency functional areas. ­ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively ­ Ability to perform related duties, as required. Skills Required: ­ Demonstrated experience with oracles OBIEE technology ­ Collaborate with business owners, end users, and Subject Matter Experts to gather and document business requirements ­ Gathers business requirements through a variety of techniques (e.g. work sessions and interviews) and facilitates design workshops (Business). ­ Clarify and elaborate requirements when they are ambiguous, change, or conflict with other business requirements ­ Develop data warehousing system design approaches to ensure they fully meet the business requirements ­ Write use cases, business rules, and other artifacts such as swim lane diagrams and activity flow diagrams to effectively articulate and represent business processes, desired outcomes, and requirements ­ Produce key design documents, both in written and presentation format. ­ Excellent problem solver with the ability to keep many driving factors and requirements in focus ­ Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment ­ Strong communication and documentation skills, ability to communicate and interact at executive and junior levels ­ Consistent attention to detail ­ Overall high degree of professionalism Preferred Skills: ­ Bachelors degree with a major in the field of computer science, information science, ­ 8+ years in business analyst or DBA roles on large scale technology projects ­ Working knowledge of Relational Databases, Data Modeling and Analytics skills; Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence theory and concepts. ­ Experience with ETL tools such as ODI, Informatica, a plus.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
