Please review the below job description Position Summary: Makes independent, creative and technical contributions related to implementation, communication, monitoring and maintenance of policies and procedures to protect technology information, environments and systems. Position Description: Processes security requests on multiple platforms. Maintains an understanding of existing and proposed security access controls. Provides technical expertise and support to client and IT management and staff in risk assessment. Implements changes to current and new security systems. Responds to problems for all levels of associates; participates in 24 x 7 production system security issue and event handling. Maintains Security procedures; ensures they are in compliance with standards. Uses Security monitoring tools to review and investigate data security incidents and recommends appropriate corrective actions. Understand existing monitoring capabilities, ability to identify gaps, ability to document/communicate Blue Team exercises and results. Assist with on-boarding of new logs to SIEM tool and development of monitoring use cases Collaborate with other SOC analysts and take initiative to hunt for undetected or abnormal threat activity. Knowledge & Experience: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a directly related field with 2-3 years of professional IT experience. Experience in Security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications and network protocols. Strong interpersonal and team skills. Experience with scripting language, specifically Python. Or 4-6 Years of professional IT experience.
