VMware Workspace One Support Engineer Duration: 6 month contract Location: Can sit at any location for this Client in the U.S. PROJECT: We are implementing WMware Workspace One for our mobile applications service and looking for an experienced support engineer. IDEAL BACKGROUND: We need an experienced Workspace One (Airwatch) support engineer. TOP REQUIREMENTS: VMware Workspace One (Airwatch) experience, Linux and Windows admin experience and troubleshooting Workspace One issues. *** What experience will set candidates apart from one another? Workspace One support and administration experience. Is this person a sole contributor or part of a team? Team. If so, please describe the team? (Name of team, size of team, etc.) Mobile communications, 12 contributors. What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position? (Please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis) * VMware Workspace One Support Engineer * Serve as a subject matter expert to internal stakeholders on all aspects of the Support Engineering discipline, driving reliability into VMware Workspace One systems requiring support * Mentor the other engineers on the VMware Workspace One engineering support and administration to drive reliability and improve customer experience * Execute and guide execution of specific tasks through various application work streams to drive best-in-class operational support * Communicate status of various projects to leadership * Drive results through increasing reliability of applications and failover capabilities * Guide Reliability via Enterprise Transformation, influencing teams as they work towards maintaining 99.99% reliability targets, and beyond. * Lead change and innovation - pursue opportunities to adopt new technologies and drive adoption to enhance business outcomes - drive and mange high-quality execution across organizational lines * Demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior by complying with applicable laws, regulations and policies and requiring the same from others * Leverage cross functional teams to work with the right subject matter experts, and foster teamwork and collaboration * Grow and maintain knowledge of and leverage cutting edge IT industry/marketplace technologies and trends to support highly available distributed systems, and the transformation of legacy systems. What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities? * 5 or more years of professional IT experience, with steadily increasing responsibilities in large organizations * 2 or more years of experience designing and building highly distributed, scalable systems * 1 or more years of experience managing VMware Workspace One solution * 1 or more years of experience overseeing IT Project timelines and deliverables * Experience planning and supporting +99.99% availability against critical applications in production What skills/attributes are a must have? VMware Workspace One support and administration of Workspace One service including Linux experience working on the secure email gateway servers. What skills/attributes are nice to have? * Undergraduate Degree or equivalent work experience * Health Care industry experience * Experience with DevOps methodologies and enabling Automation within development teams * Site Reliability Engineer experience Where is the work to be performed? At an office local to the candidate. What are the work hours? (ex. 9am-5pm, day/night shifts, rotating shifts, etc) Flexible between 7am to 5pm Central. What type of interview process is preferred?
