Job Description : TITLE: Sr. Business Technology Analyst Contract through 2020; may extend Remote, office in St. Paul, MN Our client is is looking for a Sr. Business Technology Analyst within the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure the successful delivery and management of all programs and projects. As a Sr. Business Technology Analyst, you will be working with a variety of technologies associated with cybersecurity functions. In this role, you will be a key technology partner to our business stakeholders and essential to ensuring an exceptional customer experience is provided. In this role, you will be a key participant on a dynamic team of cross-functional members from Enterprise Technology and the Business to achieve program or project goals and objectives as part of a plan to simplify and modernize the technology environment. What you would do in this job: Manage and perform business requirements, including data analysis, while partnering with Application Development, data engineers, data analysts and contractors. Apply the appropriate elicitation techniques, tools and templates based on complexity, size, risk, business impact and solution delivery approach (Agile or traditional). Develop and communicate deliverables for business requirements and data analysis plans. Engage with stakeholders to understand, evaluate and document their business processes associated with data, needs and requirements. Contribute to software testing activities required for the technology solutions considering complexity, size, risk, and business impact. Drive the testing effort to completion, ensuring established standards of quality, including reliability, usability and performance are met. Contribute to key testing deliverables or initiatives including, use cases, user stories and defect logs. Provide subject matter expertise and application support for technology solutions within the finance and actuarial areas: Partner with business stakeholders and other teams to analyze, design, prioritize, and implement new functionality and ensure solutions meet current and future business needs. Develop and maintain technical documentation and training materials of system processes. Maintain awareness of current trends in the cybersecurity space. Build strong relationships with project participants to help navigate through problems, decisions and related implications. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with team members, business users, application development, data engineers, data analysts and other internal and external stakeholders including contractors and vendors. Collaborate with team members and contractors to develop knowledge of product, plan and business processes, testing tools and system applications. What wed expect from you: BS/BA degree in Business Management, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. Self-motivated and independent with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for work. Strong problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills to define and understand data, business needs and determine appropriate solutions. Technical aptitude to acquire a thorough knowledge of assigned data analysis tasks and work with business management, Application Development and data engineers on current and future technology needs. Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information and facilitate understanding of technology capabilities and limitations to nontechnical users.
