Job Description : Job Type: Long Term Contract Location: Austin, TX (work from home due to COVID) The GIS Business Analyst will engage in product and application design and analyze business needs for a broad range of stakeholders. This person will work under general direction of the Integration Solution Lead on a legacy application modernization/integration project with a large Public Sector client. Responsibilities: Perform GIS analysis to create GIS products using ESRI based software Identify data from legacy systems to be migrated Design, develop and support GIS analysis processes Identify and implement best practices for GIS data management Utilize GIS and organizational best practices to maintain and manage GIS layers Consult with customers to identify project requirements Develop and document standards and best practices Assist QA in developing test plans for all levels of system testing Consult with external and internal clients to ensure implementation and maintenance meets or exceeds expectations Documenting requirements in Azure DevOps or another similar tool (Jira, Rally) Agile Scrum experience Required: Three (3) years of experience in the geographic information systems field, including system analysis, business process design, development and implementation of business application solutions or IT project management Three (3) years of recent experience with the ArcGIS suite of tools including ArcGIS Desktop and extensions, ArcCatalog, ArcSDE/ ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Online.
