Description : Under the general guidance of the Information systems & Services (ISS), the Project Manager will provide project support for ESSER funded projects. They will manage large Strategic & tactical projects and uphold the highest standards of project management methodology including regular and effective collaboration with key stakeholders, governance, change management, managing scope, schedule and thorough risk management. They are accountable for leading and managing all aspects of the project (both functional and technical) required to deliver the desired business outcome. NDE is looking for both Agile and Waterfall Project Managers; the ideal candidate with have the agility to practice both depending on the project. The estimated timeframe for this contract work is until 9/27/24 to fulfill ESSER funded projects needs The Project Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to the following tasks: IT Project Manager work involves acting as a liaison between the business/end users and IT systems development teams for business needs requiring IT based solutions. Under general supervision, oversees the coordination, planning, initiation, and completion of strategic and long-term projects with a significant impact on the agencys core functions. This is accomplished by directing project team members comprised of subject matter experts from various disciplines, such as information technology, program offices, finance, or legal. Responsible for managing the project life cycle by developing, implementing, and or revising project scope, budget, and schedule of completion. Plans, assigns, and/or manages the work of others; performs related work as assigned Work closely with project stakeholders to manage concerns, problems, changes and escalation. Prepare project monitoring, status reports and progress reviews with project stakeholders. Manage stage gates with a focus on continued business justification Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, priorities and resources plans Review and analyze project plans and make recommendations regarding project feasibility, direction and prioritization; Ensures their projects are structured, well planned and executed. Creates exceptional quality project setup documents detailing scope, assumptions, success criteria, risks, governance structure Manage changes in project scope, costs, procurement of goods & services, resources and timing within the framework of agreed governance and change control processes. Diligent risk management with close management of effective mitigation, escalating risks and issues with IDT(Information, Data, Technology) governance periodically. Manage supplier relationships to ensure ongoing cost effective and high quality delivery during project execution. Performs other NDE projects as assigned by ISS (Information Systems & Services) Director. Skills Required: At least 6 years experience of IT project management, ideally gained in strategic complex projects for large organizations with a periodic delivery expectations. A Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field of study. Proficiency in a project management tool (e.g. Microsoft Azure devops, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet), Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, knowledge of Visio. Ability to improve stakeholder experience skill with a proven record in delivery.
