This resource will be utilized on a project within DOT. The main responsibilities of this position include the following: perform in role of Program Manager, life cycle management, prepare and conduct status reporting and executive briefings, resource management, risk management and time and cost management. This position will manage project time lines and lead the technical effort. This includes assigning and directing the work of staff as assigned including contractors and vendor management. Required Skills: - 10 or more years of IT project management experience - 5 or more years of IT Program management experience - Proven experience managing 3rd party vendor projects - Working knowledge of application development in a variety of technical platforms including mainframe - Planning and management skills, including scope, estimating, budgeting and resource allocation procedures - Strong analytical and conceptual skills - Proven leadership skills including team development and leadership - Positive interpersonal skills - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects - Strong knowledge of Project Management processes and industry best practices - Demonstrated experience managing application development teams - Microsoft Suite experience (e.g, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) - Excellent organizational and presentation skills - Proven experience managing large projects (> $5M) Desired Skills: - Strongly prefer PMP Certification - Experience working in Project Management within government environment - Experience working with data security standards - Experience working with multiple government agency stakeholders - Six Sigma knowledge - KPIs   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
