They will manage large tactical projects or strategic projects and uphold the highest standards of project management methodology including regular and effective communication with key stakeholders, governance, change management and thorough risk management. They are accountable for leading and managing all aspects of the project (both business and technical) required to deliver the business outcome. NDE is looking for both Agile and Waterfall (PMBOK) Project Managers; the ideal candidate with have the agility to practice both depending on the project. The estimated timeframe for this contract work is one year. The Project Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to the following tasks: Work closely with project stakeholders to manage concerns, problems, changes and escalation. Ensures their projects are structured, well planned and executed. Creates exceptional quality project setup documents detailing scope, assumptions, success criteria, risks, governance structure (as it relates to wider IT Road map governance) Uphold the IT project management methodology and look for improvements to discuss with the Program Manager. Work within the PMO to manage the key interdependencies within the Agency. Manage changes in project scope, costs, resources and timing within the framework of agreed governance and change control processes. Diligent risk management with close management of effective mitigation, escalating risks and issues in project governance where necessary. Manage supplier relationships to ensure ongoing cost effective and high quality delivery during project execution. Produce project highlight reports Manage stage gates with a focus on continued business justification Prepare project status reports and progress reviews to ADVISER project and communicate to the various stakeholders. Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, priorities and resources plans Review and analyze project plans and make recommendations regarding project feasibility, direction and prioritization; Performs other NDE projects as assigned by the PMO Manager. Skills Required: At least 6 years experience of IT project management, ideally gained in strategic complex projects for large organizations. A Bachelors degree in a Business or Information Technology A Project Management Certification Proficiency in a project management tool (e.g. Smartsheet, Microsoft Project), Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, knowledge of Visio. Strong stakeholder management skill with a proven record in delivery. In depth knowledge and experience of all stages of the project and program life cycle, including development of business cases, mobilization of programs. Knowledge of multiple project management methodologies. Experience of delivering complex projects with budgets in excess of $2M. Experience of successfully leading large multi-disciplinary project teams potentially across multiple organizations and locations. An agent of change. Business change management / communication planning. Budget management and financial reporting. Business case development and benefit realization. Experience of value tender / vendor selections.
