Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. May require a bachelors degree and 7 or more years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of Contractor staff. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. * The Client is seeking a senior level of customer account management, technical project management, strategic planning, and business controls to deliver/implement enterprise level projects and systems to all state agencies. In addition, the highest levels of expertise in IT Project Management and IT Business Controls are expected. This Project Manager II must consideration all broad ramifications of decisions made on behalf of the state and will recommend investments decisions that will impact multiple state agency efforts to extend broadband services to Oregonians in or to prevent the inefficient and ineffective utilization of state and federal resources.
