Job Description Analyst: ITIL, CBAP, PMP, CMDB ITSM Business Analysis

Duration: Long term contract

Qualifications:
1. 3+ years of relevant experience in business analysis and process improvement
2. Practical experience with gathering business requirements and managing projects.
3. One or more of the following certifications are highly desired: ITIL, ServiceNow, CBAP, PMP.
4. Basic understanding of ITIL processes: Change Management, Release Management, and Asset and Configuration Management.
5. Knowledge and understanding of both Infrastructure and Application Development concepts and topologies.
6. Practical experience in technical support and/or change and release management is a plus.
7. The candidate should possess strong oral and written communication skills; show initiative, innovativeness, and acute attention to detail; have the ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks effectively

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the ITSM process lead, and in collaboration with stakeholders, the selected candidate is responsible for the following:
Business Analysis / Process Improvement:
Focuses on understanding the ITSM structure, policies, and operations for ITD, and recommends solutions that enable the department to achieve its goals.
Identifies, documents and analyzes opportunities to improve ITSM business processes and facilitates adoption of changes and improvements.
Focuses in identifying synergies and better integrating the practices and controls around asset/configuration management and change management.
Initiates and coordinates ITSM system (ServiceNow) enhancements supporting process improvements; perform and document functional testing; and develops system and end-user documentation as needed.
Monitors process performance indicators and conducts audits to ensure continuous efficiency and effectiveness of asset/configuration management and change management.
Design and develop queries/reports based on business needs and/or in support of process compliance audits.
Supports other ITSM processes and performs other activities as needed.

Change Management:
Reviews changes and provides the necessary approvals based on change type.
Identifies and flags operational risks for the organization which are introduced through technology changes.
Co-leads change review meetings and prepares documentation to support the change meetings.
Asset & Configuration Management:
Manages/implements controls to ensure the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) information is up-to-date, accurate, and auditable.
Reconciles, integrates and/or automates data exchange between CMDB and other sources to ensure data accuracy.
Performs daily operational configuration management tasks in accordance with IMFs configuration management policy.
